Shown model 222.0
Location
The trunk lid control, control unit is located in the left trunk in the area of the C-pillar.
Tasks
The trunk lid control, control unit has the following purposes:
- Reading in of sensors and signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components
Reading in of sensors and signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Interior CAN (CAN B)
Direct line
The signals from the following components are read via direct lines:
- Trunk lid position sensor (B24/16)
Interior CAN
The following signals are read in over the interior CAN:
- Vehicle speed (from instrument cluster (A1))
- Status of driver trunk lid control button (S15/3) (Left front door control unit (N69/1))
- Status of trunk lid lock (A85/5) (rear SAM control unit (N10/8))
- Status of trunk lid control button (S62/26) (Rear SAM control unit)
- Circuit 15 status from electronic ignition lock control unit (N73)
- Status of open trunk lid control button on transmitter key (A8/1) (Electronic ignition lock control unit)
- Status of rear switch module (N38) (for code 871 (HANDS-FREE ACCESS)) and status of opening angle limiter (Electronic ignition lock control unit)
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.
Actuation of components
The actuation of the components takes place via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Interior CAN
Direct line
The following components are actuated via direct lines:
- Trunk lid control warning buzzer (H4/60) (for code 871 (HANDS-FREE ACCESS))
- Trunk lid control electric motor (M51/3m1)
Interior CAN
The following signal is transmitted via interior CAN:
- Open trunk lid, request
