	Remove/install
1	Remove side window		AR72.10-P-1900LF
2	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key from electronic ignition lock control unit
3	Disconnect battery ground line		AR54.10-P-0003LF
4	Disconnect left front electrical connector (X35/1) or right front door electrical connector (X35/2)
5	Pull lock tab (4) out with extraction hook until catch hook (5) can be actuated	Extraction hook	Fig 2
6	Press catch hook (5) with suitable screwdriver until electrical connector (3) can be tilted at or. into the inner door panel
7	Guide electrical connector (3) into front door
8	Remove rubber grommet (2) from inner door panel
9	Remove electrical connector (3) from inner door panel together with electrical wiring harness and allow to hang down
10	Remove outside door handle
11	Loosen screws (7), push bearing bracket (8) toward front and unhook from door paneling
12	Unlock electrical connector (arrows A) on outside mirror from left front door control unit (N69/1) or right front door control unit (N69/2) and remove
13	Unclip mirror triangle paneling (9)	Clip remover	Fig 3
14	Disconnect electrical connector from mirror triangle paneling (9)
15	Guide electrical wiring harness on outside mirror and electrical wiring harness on mirror triangle paneling (9) out of brackets (10)
16	Unscrew screws (6) from door lock	Bolt, door lock to front door	*BA72.10-P-1005-01V
17	Unscrew bolt (11) from left front door bass speaker (H4/86) or right front door bass speaker (H4/87)	Model 222 with code 811 (High-End sound system) except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version)
18.1	Unscrew bolts (12) from door module (1)	When fastening door module (1) with bolts (12). : Reparaturstufe1: If bolts (12) are stripped out, bolts with larger diameter are available from EPC for mounting door module (1). Repair stage 2: If larger bolts are also stripped out, blind rivets for mounting door module (1) are available from EPC.
18.2	Drill out rivet heads on rivets (13) from door module (1)	When fastening door module (1) with rivets (13). Use 7 mm dia. bit. : Fasten door module (1) on front door with rivets (13).
19	Remove door module (1)
20	Press out any pieces of rivets remaining in the inner door panel	When fastening door module (1) with rivets (13). Removal tool	Fig 1
21	Remove rivet residues and shaving from front door	When fastening door module (1) with rivets (13). Remove rivet residues and shaving completely. Otherwise remaining rivet residues can cause corrosion damage on front door.
22	Install in the reverse order	: Blind rivet tool
