- Release and disconnect electrical connector of cylinder 5+6 ignition coil (T4/2).
- Release and disconnect electrical connector of cylinder 7+8 ignition coil (T4/3).
- Release and disconnect electrical connector of cylinder 5 intake CAMTRONIC actuator (Y49/15).
- Release and disconnect electrical connector of cylinder 5 exhaust CAMTRONIC actuator (Y49/16).
- Release and disconnect electrical connector of cylinder 8 intake CAMTRONIC actuator (Y49/17).
- Release and disconnect electrical connector of cylinder 8 exhaust CAMTRONIC actuator (Y49/18).
- Release and disconnect electrical connector of left fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/2).
- Release and disconnect electrical connector of pressure sensor downstream of left throttle valve (B28/22).
- Release and disconnect electrical connector of pressure sensor upstream of left throttle valve (B28/20).
- Release and disconnect electrical connector of left charge air temperature sensor (B17/14).
- Release and disconnect electrical connector of left intake camshaft Hall sensor (B6/4).
- Release and disconnect electrical connector of left exhaust camshaft Hall sensor (B6/6).
- Release and disconnect electrical connector of left quantity control valve (Y94/1).
- Release and disconnect electrical connector of left intake camshaft adjustment solenoid (Y49/4).
- Release and disconnect electrical connector of left exhaust camshaft adjustment solenoid (Y49/6).
- Release and disconnect electrical connector of left overrun mode bypass air switchover valve (Y101/1).
- Unclip electrical connector (9) from bracket, release and disconnect and place to one side.
- Unclip electrical connector (8) from bracket, release and disconnect and place to one side.
- Release and disconnect electrical connector (30) and unclip from cylinder head cover.
- Remove bolt (1)
- Remove screw/bolt (6) securing ground line
- Unclip engine wiring harness (3) from the cylinder head cover and detach from the bracket of the purge lines.
- Place engine wiring harness (3) with engine wiring harness (4) to one side.
- Connect in reverse order.
