| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 2 | Open front cover on center console. | ||
| 3 | Remove cup holder. | Model 217, 222 with code 310 (Double cup holder) |

| 4 | Remove touchpad (A105). | Model 217 with code 448 (Touchpad) Model 222 with code 448 (Touchpad) |

| 5 | Open hand rest (1), unclip telephone keypad (A2/7) through the opening (arrow A) from the housing for the telephone keypad (2) and detach electrical connector from telephone keypad (A2/7). | Model 217, 222 except code 446 (Touchpad only) except code 448 (Touchpad) |

| 7 | Grasp with hand between cover of center console stowage tray and center console, then push Audio/COMAND control panel (A40/9) upwards. | ||
