Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing battery electrolyte or absorption of lead through the skin or body orifices. Risk of death  due to voltage U >= 30 V AC and U >= 60 V DC. 	Remove/install
1	Confirm change of on-board electrical system battery (G1) using diagnosis system in signal acquisition and actuation module under Actuation menu item.	When replacing the on-board electrical system battery (G1).
		This updates the charging characteristic for the on-board electrical system battery (G1)	AD00.00-P-2000-04B
2	Disconnect the ground line for the on-board electrical system battery (G1).		AR54.10-P-0003LF
3	Remove POSITIVE terminal cover (3).
4	Loosen nut (4) and disconnect POSITIVE terminal clamp (5) from positive terminal of on board electrical system battery (G1).	Nut, charging cable to negative terminal/positive terminal of on-board electrical system battery	*BA54.10-P-1003-01J
5	Detach elbow fitting (7) from on-board electrical system battery (G1).	Check that vent hose (6) is seated and routed correctly. Battery acid vapors emitted will otherwise damage surrounding components.
6	Remove nuts (8).	Nut, tensioning strap to battery frame	*BA54.10-P-1002-01J
7	Remove shackle (9) from threaded pin (10) and place to one side.	Do not install the tensioning strap (11) twisted.
8	Remove on-board electrical system battery (G1) from battery carrier (12) and then from the trunk.	Carefully remove the on-board electrical system battery (G1) from the battery carrier (12). Otherwise, the threaded pins (10) may damage the on-board electrical system battery (G1).
9	Install in the reverse order.
