Apply Thermal Compound To DC/DC Converter For 48 V On-Board Electrical System - AR54.10-P-1351-01LFM

With Code B01 (48V technology) 

Before the following work instructions are started, the DC/DC converter control unit (N83/1) must be completely freed of old thermal compound and cleaned.

1. Mark fill level of thermal compound on double cartridge (1).
2. Break off latch (2) and open double cartridge (1) by doing so.

   Note maximum of 1 h processing time.

3. Screw mixing spout (3) onto double cartridge (1).
4. Insert double cartridge (1) into commercially available 50 ml double-cartridge gun and completely fill mixing spout with thermal compound

5. Apply half of the cartridge contents, approx. 6.2 ml, onto DC/DC converter control unit (N83/1). Area (B).
6. Apply 60 % of remaining cartridge contents, approx. 4.1 ml, onto DC/DC converter control unit (N83/1). Area (A).
7. Apply remaining cartridge contents, approx. 2.6 ml, onto DC/DC converter control unit (N83/1). Area (C).

   Approx. 2.1 ml of thermal compound is left in the mixing spout.
