Install C-Pillar Strut - Ar63.20-P-0500-09LFS

with code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version)
The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be accomplished analogously on the right side in the event of damage.
- Install C-pillar strut (1), fit and fix in place.
- Mark position of rivet holes on rear center section.
The distance between the rivet holes and the outer edge should be at least 10 mm.
Dimensions:
a = approx. 17 mm
b = approx. 18 mm
- Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes on C-pillar strut (1) (area C).
- Coat insides of riveted joints with zinc dust paint (area C).
After removing C-pillar strut (1) and deburring rivet holes.
- Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes on C-pillar strut (1) and countersink (area D).
Only if a riveter for punching and flow form rivets is not used for installation
Countersink rivet holes to create level surface when riveting Otherwise the rear fender cannot be installed correctly.
- Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes on C-pillar strut (1) and countersink (area E and F).
Drill rivet hole in center of flange The distance between the rivet hole and the outer edge should be at least 10 mm (area F).
- Remove C-pillar strut (1).
- Drill rivet holes in C-pillar strut (1) and deburr on body on both sides.
- Apply 2-component adhesive to body in crosshatched areas.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces. Observe manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of adhesive.
- Install C-pillar strut (1), fit and fix in place.
- Rivet C-pillar strut (1) with Ø 6.4x12 rivets (areas I and O).
- Rivet C-pillar strut (1) with Ø 6.4x14 countersunk head rivets (area J).
Flow form rivets with a clamping range of up to 3.5 mm "A1" can also be used, if a riveter for self-piercing and flow-form rivets is used for installation.

- Clean welding areas no longer accessible after installing rear fender with zinc dust paint.
