Remove/Install Rear Electrohydraulic Suspension Pump Unit - AR32.50-P-0048ME

Model 167 

with code 489 (AIRMATIC Dual Control/semi-active air suspension)

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove left rear wheel and tire assembly.   AR40.10-P-1102ME
2 Remove fender liner in rear left fender.   AR88.10-P-1302ME
3 Empty hydraulic lines of electrohydraulic suspension using guided diagnosis.   AR32.50-P-0042ME 
4 Disconnect ground line from on-board electrical system battery.   AR54.10-P-0003ME
5 Remove nuts (6) and detach ground lines from grub screws. TORQUE SPECIFICATION Ground point MPE LF (48V) *BA00.19-P-1048-01M 
6 Open plugs, remove nuts (5) and detach electric lines (7) from grub screws. TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 167 with engine 256 with code 489 (AIRMATIC Dual Control/semi-active air suspension) with code 490 (Electrohydraulic suspension) Nut, 48 V subharness to refrigerant compressor/electric motor *BA15.18-P-1003-03MRT 
7 Release and disconnect electrical connector (10).    
8 Unclip electrical wiring harness (8) from cable ducts and guide out of vehicle.    
9 Unclip electric lines from rear right suspension strut electrohydraulic controller unit (M67/3) and rear left suspension strut electrohydraulic controller unit (M67/2). SPECIAL TOOL Dismantling tool Fig 1
10 Remove hydraulic lines from rear right suspension strut electrohydraulic controller unit (M67/3) and rear left suspension strut electrohydraulic controller unit (M67/2).   AR32.50-P-0043ME 
11 Unscrew screws (9) and remove rear right suspension strut electrohydraulic controller unit (M67/3) together with rear left suspension strut electrohydraulic controller unit (M67/2).    
REFER TO SPECIAL TOOLS 000 588 10 62 00 Support plate   WS26.00-P-3309B
REFER TO SPECIAL TOOLS 000 588 11 62 00 Major assembly mount   WS01.00-P-0092B
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw, rear hydraulic pump bracket to rear axle *BA32.50-P-1002-04A 
12 Install in the reverse order.    
  Initial startup     
13 Commission electrohydraulic suspension after filling hydraulic lines.
