Rear Side Wall Paneling Lower Part Separation - Ar63.10-P-5665-01MEX

The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. In case of damage on the right side of the vehicle, these steps must be performed analogously.

The higher-level service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

1. Expose spot welds on sidewall paneling lower section (1) and cut out (areas A).
2. Expose spot welds at sidewall paneling lower section (1) and drill out with Ø 6.5 mm (areas B).
3. Remove sidewall paneling lower section (1).

   To remove the sidewall paneling lower section (1), the flanges of the rear fender must be bent open.

4. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

   Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

5. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
6. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
