The next steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. In case of damage on the right side of the vehicle, these steps must be performed analogously.

The superordinate service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

1. Drill through rivets on the rear panel mounting support (1) with a diameter of 6.5 mm (area A).
2. Expose weld seams on the rear panel mounting support (1) and cut (area B).

3. Heat rear panel mounting support (1) in the cross-hatched area.

   Cross-hatched area is bonded.

4. Remove rear panel mounting support (1).

5. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.
6. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surface (area C).
