NOTES Make sure that the repair work is performed carefully. Otherwise renewed leaks may occur.

IMPORTANT In the event of damage to pneumatic pressure line connections (1a) and pneumatic pressure lines (4), a pneumatic pressure line connector (3) or a repair screwed connection (1) can be mounted.

  1. Unscrew pneumatic pressure line connection (1 a) from the affected component part (e.g. air suspension bellows).
  2. Cut off pneumatic pressure line (4) at a suitable point using a cutter SPECIAL TOOL

NOTES Special care must be taken to ensure that the cut is made exactly at right angles on pneumatic pressure line (4).

Otherwise pneumatic pressure line (4) may suffer more leaks.

  3. Insert pneumatic pressure line (4) into pneumatic pressure line connector (3) up to the end stop or to at least 19.5 mm.
  4. Pull back pneumatic pressure line (4) slightly, to enable the surrounding retaining edges inside clamping ring (1b) to engage in the outer surface of pneumatic pressure line (4).

TORQUE SPECIFICATION Do not kink pneumatic pressure line (4) and repair line (2). Otherwise pneumatic pressure line (4) or repair line (2) may be damaged.

IMPORTANT A repair line (2) with a straight and a curved section is available as replacement part.

  5. Cut repair line (2) so that the original length and form (straight end or 90° curved section) of the pneumatic pressure line (4) being repaired is achieved again.

NOTES When cutting repair line (2) take into account the insertion depths in repair screwed connection (1) and pneumatic pressure line connector (3).

    Leaks can occur otherwise.

NOTES Special care must be taken to ensure that the cut is exactly at right angles to the repair line (2). Otherwise renewed leaks may occur.

  6. Insert repair line (2) into pneumatic pressure line connector (3) up to the end stop or to at least 19.5 mm.
  7. Pull back repair line (2) slightly, to enable the surrounding retaining edges inside the clamping ring (1b) to engage in the outer surface of the repair line (2).
  8. Screw repair connection (1) into the affected component.

Air suspension pressure line to rear air spring, TORQUE SPECIFICATION

Air suspension pressure line to compressor, TORQUE SPECIFICATION

Air suspension pressure line to front air spring, TORQUE SPECIFICATION

Air suspension pressure line to central reservoir, TORQUE SPECIFICATION

IMPORTANT Depending on the size and accessibility of the repair threaded connection (1) use SPECIAL TOOL box wrench bit (001 589 00 03 00), the SPECIAL TOOL box wrench bit (000 589 75 03 00) or the SPECIAL TOOL socket wrench socket (211 589 00 09 00).

  9. Pull plastic guard (1c) out of repair connection (1).
  10. Insert repair line (2) into repair threaded connection (1) up to end stop or to at least to 19.5 mm.
  11. Pull back repair line (2) slightly, to enable the surrounding retaining edges inside the clamping ring (1b) to engage in the outer surface of the repair line (2).
  12. Route pneumatic pressure line (4) on vehicle.

NOTES When pulling in or routing pneumatic pressure line (4) on the vehicle make sure that pneumatic pressure line (4) cannot be twisted once fastened.

A twisted pneumatic pressure line (4) can be damaged and consequently be leaky.
