The panoramic sliding sunroof drive unit or the panoramic sliding sunroof control module is located on the front roof frame.

Vehicles with separate drive unit

The separate panoramic sliding sunroof control unit actuates the panoramic sliding sunroof motor in the panoramic sliding sunroof drive unit.

Vehicles with integrated drive unit

The panoramic sliding sunroof control unit in the panoramic sliding sunroof control module actuates the panoramic sliding sunroof motor.

Function 

The following elements are integrated in the panoramic sliding sunroof drive unit:

• Hall sensors (position and speed detection)
• Panoramic sliding sunroof motor (drive of reversing gear)
• Reversing gear (conversion of rotating movement into a longitudinal movement)
