The bonding area on the windshield must be absolutely free of dust and grease.
Otherwise the adhesive force of the adhesive material starts to decrease when installing the window.

On vehicle with ground connections (6, 7) or optional ground connections (4, 5), do not paint over the recesses located at these points.

- Coat viewing window (1) for vehicle identification number at inside of windshield with primer included in repair set.
When replacing windshield if the viewing window is no longer required.
Do not paint over the adjustment marks for the windshield wipers (2) and light slots (3).
- Check windshield or rear window for scratches or damage.
When reusing windshield or rear window.
If complaint present

Replace windshield or rear window.
- Fasten electrical connectors to rear window with duct tape.
Depending on equipment.
- Level remaining adhesive on windshield or rear window with a suitable scraper down to a height of approx. 2 mm, and remove loose residual adhesive.
- Repair damaged primer coat on windshield or rear window with primer included in repair kit.
When reusing windshield or rear window.
The primer must flash off for at least 10 minutes Otherwise the adhesive effect of the adhesive material will be impaired.
- Apply cleaner (activator) from repair kit to bonding area on windshield or rear window and rub dry with a rag.
When replacing windshield or rear window.
- Coat bonding area on windshield or rear window with primer from repair kit.
When replacing windshield or rear window.
The primer must flash off for at least 10 minutes Otherwise the adhesive effect of the adhesive material will be impaired.
When reusing windshield or rear window.
