	Remove/install
1	Carry out commissioning of steering column tube module control unit (N80).	If steering column tube module control unit (N80) is replaced.
			AD00.00-P-2000-06ME
2	Move steering wheel all the way to the rear.
3	Turn steering wheel to center position (front wheels in straight-ahead position).
4	Remove steering wheel.		AR46.10-P-0100ME
5	Unclip boot (3) at catch hooks all around on the steering column tube module control unit (N80).
6	Detach steering column tube module control unit (N80) from steering column tube far enough to gain access to the concealed electrical connector (1).	Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension. This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function. Do not operate red safety catch in steering column tube module control unit (N80). Clock spring contact will otherwise be destroyed. The steering column tube module control unit (N80) contains the clock spring contact, the steering angle sensor and the switch panel. It is one component and can only be removed or replaced complete. When the installation position of the steering column tube module control unit (N80) is correct, the assembly indicator is retracted. When installing a new steering column tube module control unit (N80), break off transport protection after installation.
7	Remove locking clip (2) from electrical connector (1).	The locking clip (2) is destroyed and must be replaced.
8	Release electrical connector (1) and disconnect.
9	Remove steering column tube module control unit (N80).
10	Install in the reverse order
