IMPORTANT Measure structural components only in combination with approved electronic measuring systems.

IMPORTANT The following operation steps are shown on model 205.0.

  1. Loosen bolts (1, 2, 3).
  2. Measure suspension strut tower (A) at measuring point (4), assess and enter measurement value as well as result in checklist.

    NOTESAlways  replace spring strut dome (A) in event of cracks, folds or deformation. Otherwise the required minimum strength of the structural components is not ensured.

    IMPORTANT Measuring points (4) is always the bolt head when the strut is installed.

    IMPORTANT Reshaping or repairing not  permissible.

  3. Measure connecting flange on suspension strut tower for front module carrier (B) at measuring point (5) from bottom, assess and enter measurement value as well as result into checklist.

    NOTES In event of cracks or folds on the connecting flange on the suspension strut tower for the front module carrier (B) always  suspension strut tower. Otherwise the required minimum strength of the structural components is not ensured.

    IMPORTANT Measuring point (5) is always the center thread on the connection flange of the suspension strut tower for the front module carrier (B).

    IMPORTANT Reshaping or repairing is only permissible to a limited extent.

  4. Measure crossmember above rear axle (C) at measuring points (6, 7), assess and enter measurement value as well as result into checklist.

    NOTESAlways  replace crossmember above rear axle (C) in event of cracks, folds or deformation.

    Otherwise the required minimum strength of the structural components is not ensured.

    IMPORTANT Measuring point (7) is centered on bolt head.

    IMPORTANT Reshaping or repairing not  permissible.

  5. Measure longitudinal member console (D) at measuring points (8, 9), assess and enter measurement value as well as result into checklist.

    NOTESAlways  longitudinal member console (D) in event of cracks, folds or deformation.

    Otherwise the required minimum strength of the structural components is not ensured.

    IMPORTANT Measuring points (8, 9) are centered on bolt heads.

    IMPORTANT Reshaping or repairing not  permissible.

  6. Measure damper dome strut (A) at measuring point (10), assess and enter measurement value as well as result in checklist.

    NOTESAlways  replace damper strut dome (E) in event of cracks, folds or deformation. Otherwise the required minimum strength of the structural components is not ensured.

    IMPORTANT Measuring point (10) is center on bolt head of rear bolt.

    IMPORTANT Reshaping or repairing not  permissible.

  7. Tighten bolts (1). TORQUE SPECIFICATION

    If no further work is necessary in this area.

  8. Tighten bolts (2). TORQUE SPECIFICATION

    If no further work is necessary in this area.

  9. Tighten bolts (3). TORQUE SPECIFICATION

    If no further work is necessary in this area.
