| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m) | ||
| 2 | Remove cover from stowage box | AR68.20-P-1020LW | |
| 3 | Detach shift lever knob | AR26.60-P-0610-11LW | |
| 4 | Move gearshift lever to neutral position | ||
| 5 | Unscrew bolts (2) | Carefully unscrew bolts (2), because a small space is present between bolts (2) and center console cover (1). Otherwise the center console cover (1) can be damaged. |

| 6 | Lift center console cover (1) at rear, unclip from retaining clips (5) and remove until electrical connectors (3, 4) are accessible | ||
| 7 | Detach electrical connections (3, 4) | ||
| 8 | Lift center console cover (1) at rear and pull out of instrument panel with retaining tabs (6) at front | Cover gearshift lever with a rag. Otherwise the center console cover (1) can be damaged. |
