| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Remove front bumper and place down on suitable mat. | AR88.20-P-2000ME | |
| 2 | Release and disconnect electrical connections (1). | ||
| 3 | Release hose (2) from groove in impact absorber (3). | Check hose (2) is correctly seated in impact absorber (3). The hose (2) must be routed without any tension or kinks. Malfunctions can occur otherwise. |

| 4 | Remove front bumper pedestrian protection sensor (B151/1, B151/3) together with hose (2) from bumper. | The front bumper pedestrian protection sensor (B151/1, B151/3) must not be detached from the hose (2). Malfunctions can occur otherwise. |

| 5 | Check front bumper pedestrian protection sensor (B151/1, B151/3) with hose (2) for damage. | If damaged, ↓ Replace front bumper pedestrian protection sensor (B151/1, B151/3) together with hose (2). |
|
| 6 | Check impact absorber (3) for damage. | If damaged, ↓ replace impact absorber (3). |
|
| 7 | Install in the reverse order |
