| 1 | Move steering wheel (6) all the way upward. | ||
| 2 | Disconnect ground line at on-board electrical system battery. | AR54.10-P-0003ME | |
| 3.1 | Insert hexagon socket screwdriver (1) into right and left opening (arrow) at steering wheel (6) and push respective end of spring (2) inwards until the driver's airbag (4) is released | Model 167 up to model year 2022 |

| 3.2 | Insert extraction hook (7) into release opening (8) at steering wheel (6) and release spring (2) of driver's airbag (4) using extraction hook (7) in direction of arrow. | Model 167 as of model year 2022 | |
