General
The rear axle drive unit control unit is responsible for actuation of the electric differential lock actuator and the rear axle drive unit transmission actuator motor, among other things.
Function requirements
- Drive system in operation.
Function
The electronic differential control unit actuates the electric differential lock actuator and the transmission drive unit actuator motor to meet requirements. The Hall sensor integrated in the actuator and actuator motor reports the position, and the temperature sensors that are also integrated report the temperature to the rear axle drive unit control unit.
Reading in of signals
The rear axle drive unit control unit also receives the following input signals:
- Status of circuit 15
- Drive system status
- Vehicle speed
- Transmission oil temperature
- Countershaft RPM
- ESP® status
- All-wheel drive clutch status
- Transmission mount synchronization
- Engine mount synchronization
- Locking ratio request (all-wheel drive control unit)
- Locking ratio request (ESP® control unit)
Evaluation of input signals
The received input signals are evaluated. After evaluation of the input signals, the following components are actuated, among other things:
- Rear axle drive unit transmission actuator motor
- Differential lock actuator
- Low-temperature circuit 2 circulation pump
