Remove/Install AIR BODY CONTROL control unit - AR32.22-P-0006LW

Model 205 

with code 489 (AIRMATIC Dual Control/semi-active air suspension) 

Model 253 (except 253.992/993) 

with code 489 (AIR BODY CONTROL)

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Perform initial startup of AIR BODY CONTROL control unit (N51/3) When replacing AIR BODY CONTROL control unit (N51/3).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS   IMPORTANT If data transfer is faulty, calibrate the vehicle as concluding work. AD00.00-P-2000-04B
2 Remove left front seat Model 205.0/1/2/3
with code 489 (AIRMATIC Dual Control/semi-active air suspension)
Model 253 (except 253.992/993)
with code 489 (AIR BODY CONTROL)

with code 489 (AIRMATIC Dual Control/semi-active air suspension)

3 Detach electrical wiring harness (3) from air duct (1) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace cable tie (4).  
4 Release air duct (1) (arrows A) and remove    
5 Carefully raise floor covering (2) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Check for correct seating.  
6 Unclip AIR BODY CONTROL control unit (N51/3) from catch hooks (5) and pull out toward vehicle center (arrows B)    
7 Disconnect electrical connectors (6) and remove AIR BODY CONTROL control unit (N51/3)    
8 Install in the reverse order    
  Calibrate     
9 Calibrate vehicle on alignment lift using vehicle diagnosis system If the data transfer to the new AIR BODY CONTROL control unit (N51/3) cannot be conducted.
