Apply Thermal Compound To DC/DC Converter For 48 V On-Board Electrical System - AR54.10-P-1351-01LWO

IMPORTANT Before beginning the following work instruction, the DC/DC converter control unit must be completely freed of old thermal compound and cleaned.

  1. Mark fill level of thermal compound on double cartridge (1).
  2. Break off latch (2).

    IMPORTANT Note maximum of 1 h processing time.

  3. Screw mixing spout (3) onto double cartridge (1).
  4. Insert double cartridge (1) into a commercially available 50 ml double-cartridge gun and completely fill mixing spout (3) with thermal compound.

  5. Apply half of cartridge content, approx. 6.2 ml, onto DC/DC converter control unit (N83/1) in area (B).
  6. Apply 60 % of remaining cartridge content, approx. 4.1 ml, onto DC/DC converter control unit (N83/1) in area (A).
  7. Apply remaining cartridge content, approx. 2.6 ml, onto DC/DC converter control unit (N83/1) in area (C).

    IMPORTANT Approx. 2.1 ml of thermal compound is left in the mixing spout.
