Remove Rear Longitudinal Member Mounting Bracket - Ar64.20-P-0120-01LWG

Model 253, 293 

IMPORTANT The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

  1. Mark separating points for window cuts on end plate (2) and cut.

    IMPORTANTDimensions  :

    a1 = approx 27 mm

    a2 = approx 17 mm

    e1 = approx 35 mm

    e2 = approx 30 mm

    e3 = approx 43 mm

  2. Drill previously covered self-piercing riveting below end plate (2) with Ø 6 mm bit.
  3. Expose Impact nails on mounting console (1) and cut out (area B).
  4. Expose self-piercing riveting on mounting support (1) and drill out with a diameter of 6 mm (area C and D).

    IMPORTANT The self-piercing rivets can also be separated with a riveter for self-piercing and flow-form rivets (area C).

  5. Drill self-piercing riveting on mounting support (1) and drill out with a diameter of 6 mm (area F and G).

  6. Heat mounting console (1) in crosshatched area.

    IMPORTANT Cross-hatched areas are bonded with adhesive.

  7. Heat mounting console (1) in crosshatched area.

    IMPORTANT Cross-hatched areas are bonded with adhesive.

  8. Remove mounting console (1).

  9. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.
  10. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.

    IMPORTANT Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
