Remove/Install Sealing For Crank Window On Rear Door - AR72.12-P-1911LW

WARNING Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove door trim (2) of rear door.   AR72.12-P-1010LW 
2 Remove window frame lining (3). IMPORTANT Window frame lining (3) is connected in a positive-locking manner on window frame and also clipped into window frame with a retaining clip (3.1).  
3 Remove inner sealing rail (4). NOTES
Carefully lift inner sealing frame (4) out of fold of inner door panel.
Inner sealing frame (4) can otherwise deform and must be replaced.		  
    SPECIAL TOOL Long wedge Fig 1
4 Insert suitable paper tape (7) at rear end of triangular window (8) between outer sealing rail (5) and trim element (6). Model 205.0/1/2, 213.0/2, 253

NOTES
Paper strip (7) is intended to protect the trim piece (6).
Otherwise the trim piece (6) can be damaged.		  
5 Remove outer sealing rail (5) starting at rear end of triangular window (8) with aid of a base. NOTES
Carefully lift out outer sealing rail (5) from fold of inner door panel.
Otherwise the outer sealing rail (5) can deform or the paint can be damaged.

6 Carefully release window divider (9) in upper area from side window seal (1) and remove upwards. SPECIAL TOOL Long wedge Fig 1
7 Release seal (1.1) from panel (10).    
8 Remove window guide seal (1.2) in area of panel (10).    
9 Remove screws (11) of panel (10).    
10 Remove panel (10).    
11 Lift out trim element (6) from side window seal (1) starting from rear end of triangular window (8) and remove. Model 205.0/1/2, 213.0/2, 253

NOTES
Carefully lift out trim piece (6)
Otherwise the trim piece (6) can bend and must be replaced.

12 Remove window guide seal (1.3) in area of triangular window (8).    
13 Remove side window seal (1) starting at installation location of panel (10).    
INSTALLING Install     
14 Wet side window seal (1) with lubricant. Lubricant, rubber assembly 1 L *BR00.45-Z-1010-06A 
15 Install side window seal (1) on window frame starting at upper edge of triangular window (8) IMPORTANT Ensure that side window seal (1) makes firm contact with seal of triangular window (8) (arrow A).  
16 Wet window guide seal (1.3) with soapy water (area A).    
17 Wet window guide seal (1.3) with lubricant (area b). Lubricant, rubber assembly 1 L *BR00.45-Z-1010-06A 
18 Slide window guide seal (1.3) downward into window guide rail.    
19 Secure window guide seal (1.3) at triangular window (8). IMPORTANT Ensure window guide seal (1.3) is correctly seated, in particular in corner area.  
20 Install panel (10).    
21 Tighten screws (11) of panel (10).    
22 Wet seal (1.1) with lubricant. Lubricant, rubber assembly 1 L *BR00.45-Z-1010-06A 
23 Insert seal (1.1) in panel (10).    
24 Wet window guide seal (1.2) with soapy water (area c).    
25 Wet window guide seal (1.2) with lubricant (area d). Lubricant, rubber assembly 1 L *BR00.45-Z-1010-06A 
26 Slide window guide seal (1.2) downward into window guide rail.    
27 Secure window guide seal (1.2) on panel (10). IMPORTANT Ensure that window guide seal (1.2) is seated correctly, particularly in the corner area.  
28 Install window divider (9). Lubricant, rubber assembly 1 L *BR00.45-Z-1010-06A 
29 Wet web of trim element (6) and side window seal (1) in assembly area of trim element (6) with lubricant. Model 205.0/1/2, 213.0/2, 253

30 Install trim element (6) in side window seal (1) starting at panel (10). Model 205.0/1/2, 213.0/2, 253

IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated correctly in Front area (arrow B).		  
31 Secure suitable paper tape (7) on trim element (6). Model 205.0/1/2, 213.0/2, 253

32 Wet rubber seal of outer sealing rail (5) with lubricant. Lubricant, rubber assembly 1 L *BR00.45-Z-1010-06A 
33 Install outer sealing rail (5). IMPORTANT The outer sealing rail (5) must be flush with the edge of the door paneling.  
34 Wet rubber seal of inner sealing rail (4) with lubricant. Lubricant, rubber assembly 1 L *BR00.45-Z-1010-06A 
35 Install inner sealing rail (4).    
36 Install window frame lining (3).    
37 Install door trim (2) of rear door.   AR72.12-P-1010LW
