Prepare Headliner For Installation - AR68.30-P-4305-16LW

1. Remove left sun visor bracket (2) from old roof lining (1).

   Electrical connector does not have to be disconnected.

2. Remove right sun visor bracket (4) from old roof lining (1).

   Electrical connector does not have to be disconnected.

3. Disconnect electrical connector (6) from left sun visor mirror lamp (E14/1) and right sun visor mirror lamp (E14/2).

   If installed.

4. Remove left sun visor mirror lamp (E14/1) and right sun visor mirror lamp (E14/2) or covers from the old roof lining (1).
5. Model 205.1

   with code U05 (Vanity mirror in the rear)

   Model 253.1

   Disconnect electrical connector from left rear vanity mirror and remove left rear vanity mirror from old headliner (1).

6. Model 205.1

   with code U05 (Vanity mirror in the rear)

   Model 253.1

   Disconnect electrical connector from right rear vanity mirror and remove right rear vanity mirror from old headliner (1).

7. Model 205.3

   Disconnect the electrical connection from the rear interior lamp and remove the rear interior lamp from the old headliner (1).

8. Model 205.0/1/2/3

   with code 235 (Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC)

   Model 253 (except 253.992/993)

   Disconnect the electrical connection (7) and remove the rear parking system display (A44/3) from the old headliner (1).

9. Detach electrical wiring harness (5) from frame (3).
10. Expose electrical wiring harness (5) on old headliner (1) and remove.

    Fasten electrical wiring harness (5) with tape.

    Observe routing of lines.

11. Model 205.0/1/2/3

    with code 235 (Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC)

    Model 253 (except 253.992/993)

    Complete cutout in new headliner (1) for rear parking system display (A44/3) at inner edge of embossment.

12. Install detachable parts on new headliner (1) in reverse order.
13. Model 205.0/3

    with code 494 (US version)

    Install new dampings on new roof lining (1).

    The installation locations and number of dampings must be taken over from old roof lining (1).
