Shown on right side of vehicle on model 205, except code B07 (Ceramic brake system) 

DANGER Risk of accident  when commissioning the vehicle due to a lack of braking effect when the service brake is operated for the first time after repair work. Before starting the engine, actuate brake pedal several times until pressure is built up and maintained in the brake system. AS42.50-Z-0002-01A
WARNING Risk of injury.  Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
CAUTION Risk of poisoning  from swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury  from skin and eye contact with brake fluid Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid. AS42.50-Z-0001-01A

REMOVING Remove     
1 Detach brake caliper and secure free of tension to vehicle with lines still connected. NOTES Do not subject the brake hose and electrical line to tension and do not kink them. The brake hose and the electrical line can otherwise be damaged. AR42.10-P-0080LW 
2 Remove brakepads (1) from brake caliper support (2).    
3 Pull right rear brakepad wear sensor out of backing plate of brakepad (1). When replacing the brake linings (1) or right rear brake wear sensor.  
INSPECT Check     
4 Check brakepads (1) for wear and condition.

If a problem arises

Replace brake linings (1) in sets.

CLEANING Clean     
5 Clean contact surfaces of brakepads (1) on brake caliper support (2) (arrows) and on brake caliper. NOTES Do not use sharp-edged or pointed objects.
Otherwise, the brake caliper, the dust boot on the brake piston or the brake caliper support (2) may be damaged.
Assembly cleaner

INSTALLING Install     
6 Insert rear right brakepad wear sensor on backing plate of brakepad (1). When replacing the brake linings (1) or right rear brake wear sensor.  
7 Apply brake paste to brake caliper and to brake caliper support (2).   AR42.10-P-0163-01LW 
    IMPORTANT The brake paste to be used depends on the manufacturer of the brake caliper.
Lubricant paste
*BR00.45-Z-1130-06A 
    Brake paste, Varybond *BR00.45-Z-1072-06A 
8 Insert brakepads (1). IMPORTANT Only brakepads (1) approved by Mercedes-Benz may be installed, and only as complete sets.  
9 Install brake caliper.   AR42.10-P-0080LW
