CAUTION Risk of injury  to skin and eyes dup to handling of engine oil. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing engine oil Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not fill engine oil into beverage containers.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove engine cover. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Only install upper engine cover after the leak test. AR01.10-P-2405MRI
2 Remove rear engine cover.   AR01.10-P-2408MRI
3 Detach vacuum line (5) from vacuum pump (1).    
4 Remove screws (6, 7, 8, 9).    
Notes on threaded connections fastened using a tightening angle-based tightening process   AH00.00-P-0020-01A
    INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Tighten screws (6, 7, 8, 9) in numerical sequence.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, vacuum pump to cylinder head/cylinder head cover *BA43.05-P-1001-01Q 
5 Remove vacuum pump (1). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Install new seal (4). Observe position of vacuum pump (1) driver.  
6 Unscrew ball head (3). When replacing vacuum pump (1).
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Ball head, engine cover to cylinder head cover/vacuum pump

7 Install in the reverse order.    
WARNING Risk of burn  injuries, suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the hazard area. AS49.00-Z-0001-01A
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
8 Perform engine test run; in this connection, check engine for proper operation and leak tightness.    
9 Install engine cover.   AR01.10-P-2405MRI
