REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove cover for air/water duct. Model 118, 177 with engine 139, 260, 282
with code 2U8 (Alternative refrigerant)

    Model 247 with engine 260, 282

2 Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery.   AR54.10-P-0003MFA
3 Unclip retaining clip (2). SPECIAL TOOL Dismantling tool Fig 2
4 Release and disconnect electrical connection (3) SPECIAL TOOL Removal lever Fig 3
5 Remove retaining clamp (4) and disconnect line (5) from inerting system cartridge (1). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Always replace retaining clamp (4).  
6 Remove nuts (6). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut, inerting system cartridge to body *BA86.10-P-1001-03K 
7 Remove inerting system cartridge (1).    
8 Check seal on connection of line (5) to inerting system cartridge (1) for damage. If damage is present,

replace inerting system cartridge (1).
 
9 Install in the reverse order.
