| 1 | Commission display cluster for head unit/instrument cluster (A40/16). | When replacing head unit/instrument cluster display cluster (A40/16). | |

| 2 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 3 | Remove bolts (1). | ||
| 4 | Pull head unit/instrument cluster display cluster (A40/16) upward and tilt toward steering wheel until electrical connectors are accessible. | Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension. This will result in damage to the lines which may impair their functional capability. |

| 5 | Release and disconnect electrical connectors. | ||
| 6 | Tilt head unit/instrument cluster display cluster (A40/16) until the catch hooks (2) can be extended out of the guides. | ||
| 7 | Remove head unit/instrument cluster display cluster (A40/16). | ||
| 8 | Install in the reverse order |
