The brake system assessment is conducted using the values determined on the roller dynamometer.
- Are the minimum brake values for the service and parking brakes reached?
- Are the brake values for the service brake within the maximum deviation from right to left?
- Are the brake values for the parking brake within the maximum deviation from right to left?
- Is the actuating travel for the service and parking brake within the maximum specification?
In accordance with the country-specific legislation and Mercedes-Benz specifications, the specified minimum requirements and tolerance limits for the brake system must be fulfilled on a vehicle-specific basis.
If the prescribed minimum requirements and tolerance limits for the test scopes undertaken on the brake system are not met then the brake system must be rejected.
After conducting diagnosis, and if the findings report require it, repair the brake system subject to a separate repair order.
For the Federal Republic of Germany, 29 StVZO or Directive 96/96/EG, 09/2010/EG applies as the legal minimum requirement for the brake system.
