Remove/Install Airmatic Central Reservoir - AR32.22-P-2017LWX

Model 213.088/089/288/289

REMOVING Remove     
1 Vent AIRMATIC central reservoir (1) using vehicle diagnosis system.    
REFER TO SELF DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04B
2 Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (at least 2 m).    
3.1 Fold over load compartment floor rear section. Model 213.288/289 with code 489 (AIRMATIC Dual Control/semi-active air suspension)  
3.2 Raise trunk floor rear section. Model 213.088/089 with code 489 (AIRMATIC Dual Control/semi-active air suspension)  
4 Remove spare wheel well trim.    
5 Remove pressure line (2) from AIRMATIC central reservoir (1) and seal openings using suitable stop plugs. SPECIAL TOOL Torque tool set Fig 5

6 Remove bolt (3) and open tensioning strap (4).    
7 Remove AIRMATIC central reservoir (1).    
INSTALLING Install     
8 Position AIRMATIC central reservoir (1).    
9 Close tensioning strap (4) and tighten bolt (3).    
10 Remove all stop plugs.    
11 Connect pressure line (2) to AIRMATIC central reservoir (1). NOTES ® The thread on the connection of the pressure line (2) and pressure line (2) may not be damaged.
Otherwise, leaks will occur.
 
    7 Pressure line to pressure reservoir/valve unit (SP) *BA32.22-P-1008-03H 
    SPECIAL TOOL Torque tool set Fig 5
    SPECIAL TOOL Torque wrench Fig 2
    In the event of a problem,

repair connection of pressure line (2) or pressure line (2).

12 Fill AIRMATIC central reservoir (1) with compressed air using vehicle diagnosis system.    
REFER TO SELF DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04B
INSPECT Check     
13 Read out and delete fault memory using vehicle diagnosis system.    
REFER TO SELF DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04B
14 Check the AIRMATIC central reservoir (1), the pressure line (2) and the pressure line connection (2) for leak tightness.   AR32.22-P-8100LW 
INSTALLING Install     
15 Install spare wheel well trim.    
16.1 Fold back load compartment floor rear section. Model 213.288/289 with code 489 (AIRMATIC Dual Control/semi-active air suspension)  
16.2 Fold down trunk floor rear section. Model 213.088/089 with code 489 (AIRMATIC Dual Control/semi-active air suspension)
