Pressing Out And Drawing In Rear Axle Shaft At Rear Axle Shaft Flange - AR35.30-P-0115-03OLC

Press out
Attach extraction and insertion tool to rear axle shaft flange.
- Screw on nut onto threaded pin.
- Screw in threaded pin into threaded rod of
extraction and insertion tool and tighten.
- Push out rear axle shaft (37) using
extraction and insertion tool and then remove.
Inserting
On rear axle shaft (37) that is glued in, clean the splined profile of rear axle shaft (37) and of rear axle shaft flange mechanically before installation.
In the event of sluggishness, is thread M8 should be cut into the rear axle shaft (37), to then draw this in using the
extraction and insertion tool.
- Screw on
bracket (039) onto shaft journal of rear axle shaft (37) and clamp into vise.
- Insert 4 mm dia. drill bush (removable) (039a) and lock with screw/bolt (039c).

- Drill core hole bore to a depth of approx. 20 mm using a drill bit (4 mm dia.) (dimension a), while at the same time cooling and lubricating the drill bit.
- Remove 4 mm dia. drill bush (removable) (039a) with screw/bolt (039c).
- Drill core hole bore to a depth of approx. 20 mm using a drill bit (6.8 mm dia.) (dimension a), while at the same time cooling and lubricating the drill bit.
- Pre-cut thread M8 using a thread tap of stage 1 and 2.
- Unscrew
bracket (039) from rear axle shaft (37) and clamp in rear axle shaft (37) into vise.
- Finish cutting thread M8 with thread tap of stage 3.
- Draw the rear axle shaft (37) using
extraction and insertion tool into the rear axle shaft flange.
Detach extraction and insertion tool from rear axle shaft flange.
