- Release and disconnect electrical connection (16) for electrical wiring harness (15) at engine management control unit.
- Release and disconnect electrical connection (13) of electrical wiring harness (17).
- Unclip electrical wiring harness (15, 17) with bracket (14) and place to one side.
- Unclip cover over nuts (1, 2, 3).
- Unscrew nuts (1, 2, 3)

- Remove electrical lines (4) and lay on engine.
Shown on engine 276.8 in model 213 with transmission 725.0 and code M005 (4MATIC)
- Remove screw/bolt (20), disconnect ground line (21) from transmission and place to one side
- Remove screw/bolt and remove heat shield (18) from transmission
- Release and disconnect electrical connection on transmission electric controller unit.
- Connect in reverse order.
