	Remove/install

3	Release and disconnect left exhaust gas flap actuator motor electrical connector and place electric line to one side.	Engine 256.9 in model 213, 257, 290 with code U78 (AMG sports exhaust system)
4	Secure right rear muffler (1) against falling down.

6	Disconnect separating point (T1).	Commercially available devices/tools Chain pipe cutter Install a new clamp.

7	Disconnect separating point (T2).	Commercially available devices/tools Chain pipe cutter Install a new clamp.

8	Disconnect left rear muffler (4) from elastomer bearings (3) and remove. 000 588 10 62 00 Support plate		WS26.00-P-3309B

	Clean
9	Remove combustion and corrosion residues at separating points (T1, T2).
	Check
10	Check elastomer bearings (3) for wear and damage and replace if necessary.
11	Install in the reverse order.
12	Check installation position and unobstructed movement of exhaust system and correct if necessary.
	Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
13	Perform engine test run and check exhaust system in terms of leak tightness.
