REMOVING Remove
1 Unscrew cap (1) slowly on coolant expansion reservoir (2) and relieve overpressure
2 Check coolant level and antifreeze content of coolant; correct if necessary FLUID SPECIFICATION Cooling system *BF20.00-P-1001-02BA
3 Screw tester cap (3) onto coolant expansion reservoir (2) SPECIAL TOOL Test cap Fig 1
4 Connect pressure pump (4) at tester cap (3) SPECIAL TOOL Pressure pump Fig 2
INSPECT Check
5 Apply a test pressure to the engine cooling system for2 minutes NOTES
Do not exceed the specified test pressure.
Damage can occur on the engine cooling system otherwise.
IMPORTANT There should be no pressure loss within a period of2 minutes.
