1	Check condition of on-board electrical system battery. 	Charging
2	Move cover (1) of engine compartment prefuse box (F32/3) until charging terminal point is exposed.
3	Clip charger POSITIVE terminal (3) onto charging terminal point, then clip charger ground clamp (4) onto ground terminal point (2).

4	Switch on charger.
5	Charge on-board electrical system battery.	The battery charging period depends on the charge level of the on-board electrical system battery. Only charge on-board electrical system battery with an approved charger. The on-board electrical system battery is sufficiently charged when the displayed charging current is < 5 A.
6	Switch off charger.
7	Disconnect charger ground clamp (4) from ground terminal point (2), then disconnect charger POSITIVE terminal (3) from charging terminal point.
8	Close cover (1) on engine compartment prefuse box (F32/3).
