Separate Center Roof Paneling - AR65.10-P-1000-02LWE

except code 413 (Automatic panoramic sliding sunroof) 

The following steps are shown on model 213.0.

1. Insert spacer blocks at undamaged side between center roof paneling (1) and side roof paneling and adjust dimension.

   When installing the center roof paneling (1) can be fitted with the adjusted spacer blocks.

2. Mark positions on vehicle and write down dimensions of spacer blocks.
3. Determine dimensions between outer edge of center roof paneling (1) to outer edge of front and rear roof carrier.
4. Mark positions of measuring points on vehicle and note dimensions.
5. Expose spot welds on center roof paneling (1) and cut out (areas A, B, C₁ and D₁ ).
6. Expose spot welds on center roof paneling (1) and drill out with 0 6, 5 mm (areas C and D).

7. Cut bondings between center roof paneling (1) and center roof frame with cutting wire (areas L₁ and M₁ ).
8. Heat up center roof paneling (1) in the cross-hatched areas and take off.

   Do not exceed a temperature of 120°C.

   Otherwise the structure of the adhesive areas below can change.

   Do not heat areas L₁ and M₁ .

9. Remove remaining adhesive from body (areas G, H, K, L and M).

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

10. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in crosshatched areas (areas E, F, G, H and K).

    Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

11. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
12. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

    Do not apply zinc dust paint to bonding surfaces (areas G, H, K, L and M).

    Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.

    Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
