Install Center Roof Paneling - AR65.10-P-1000-07LWE

Model 213.0/1 

except code 413 (Automatic panoramic sliding sunroof) 

The following steps are shown on model 213.0.

1. Install center roof paneling (1), fit with spacer blocks and fix in place.

   When removing, observe specified dimensions and positions of spacer blocks.

2. Drill rivet holes on center roof paneling (1) with Ø 5 mm from bottom (areas C₁ and D₁ ).

   To ensure later installation of the roof trim strip, place rivet holes 4 mm in relation to standard resistance spot welds in direction of travel.

3. Drill rivet holes on center roof paneling (1) with Ø 6, 7 mm from bottom through present holes on body and countersink (areas C and D).

   Countersink rivet hole to create level surface when riveting.

   Otherwise it could collide with the roof trim strip above.

4. Remove center roof paneling (1).

5. Apply relining adhesive to body (areas L and M).

   Observe processing specification for relining adhesive.

6. Apply 2-component adhesive to body in crosshatched areas (areas G, H und K).

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of 2-component adhesive.

7. Install center roof paneling (1), fit with spacer blocks and fix in place.

   When removing, observe specified dimensions and positions of spacer blocks.

8. Center roof paneling (1) (areas A and B).
9. Rivet center roof paneling (1) with 4.8x8 blind rivet (areas C₃ and D₃ ).

   Rivet 4.8x8 blind rivet from bottom (areas C₃ and D₃ ).

   Place two nuts between 4.8x8 blind rivet and blind rivet gun M6 to compensate low roof channel width (areas C₃ and D₃ ).

10. Rivet center roof paneling (1) with blind rivet with 6.4x17.0 countersunk head (areas C₂ and D₂ ).

    Place two nuts between blind rivet with 6.4x17.0 countersunk head rivet and blind rivet gun M6 to compensate low roof channel width (areas C₂ and D₂ ).
