Observe the higher-level service document as well as the safety information in the service document.
- Install rear floor (1) and fix in place.
Helper required.
Spread the body a little for the installation.
- Place vehicle on straightening bench and fasten.
- Fit rear-end floor (1) with the straightener and fix in place.
- Drill rivet holes on rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.7 mm bit (areas A).
The following operations steps 5, 6 and 7 are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed in the same way on the right side of the vehicle.
- Mark positions for rivet holes on rear-end floor (1).
Dimensions:
a1 = 26 mm
a2 = 18 mm
b1 = 8 mm
b2 = 23 mm
c1 = 8 mm
c2 = 40 mm
d1 = 16 mm
d2 = 28 mm
e1 = 28 mm
f1 = 8 mm
f2 = 12 mm
g = 12 mm
- Drill rivet holes on previously marked positions in rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.7 mm bit (areas B).
- Drill rivet holes in rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.7 mm bit (area C).
- Drill rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.0 mm bit one panel thickness for plug welding (areas D).
- Drill rivet holes in rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.7 mm bit (area E).
You must drill through the longitudinal member reinforcement behind it.
- Drill rivet holes in rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.7 mm bit (areas F1 ).
- Drill rivet holes in rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.7 mm bit through existing holes in body (area F2
).
- Drill rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.0 mm bit one panel thickness for plug welding (areas G).
- Drill rivet holes in rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.7 mm bit (area H).
You must drill through the longitudinal member reinforcement behind it.
- Drill rivet holes in rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.7 mm bit (areas l1 ).
- Drill rivet holes in rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.7 mm bit through existing holes in body (area 2).
- Drill rivet holes in rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.7 mm bit (area J).
Dimensions:
J= 28 mm
- Drill rivet holes in rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.7 mm bit through existing holes in body (area K).
- Drill rivet holes in rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.7 mm bit (area L).
- Drill rivet holes in rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.7 mm bit through existing holes in body (area M).
- Release vehicle from straightening bench, lift and remove straightening bench.
- Remove rear-end floor (1) downward toward rear.
Helper required.
- Deburr rivet holes on rear-end floor (1) and on body on both sides.
- Remove drilling chips.
To maintain the curing and processing time specified in the instructions for the 2-component adhesive, it is necessary for at least 3 experienced workers to cooperate in performing the following operation steps. while dividing up the operation steps appropriately and performing them as concurrently as possible.
In some cases it is necessary to have and use several sets of the required tools.
Mark rivet holes and rivets in color to match one another.
- Apply 2-component adhesive to body in crosshatched areas.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of 2-component adhesive.
- Apply 2-component adhesive to body in crosshatched areas.
Apply 2-component adhesive to the inside (areas S). Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of 2-component adhesive.
- Apply 2-component adhesive to body in crosshatched areas.
Apply 2-component adhesive to the inside (areas U).
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of 2-component adhesive.
For the following operation steps ensure that all rivets are first set and pulled before welding the areas in question.
- Install rear floor (1) and fix in place.
- Place vehicle on straightening bench and fasten.
- Align rear-end floor (1) with the straightener and fix in place.
- Rivet rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.4x12 rivet (areas R1 ).
- Rivet rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.5x12.5 rivet (areas F2
, R3
).
- Rivet rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.5x12.5 rivet (areas S1
, S2
).
The operation step is shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed in the same way on the right side of the vehicle.
- Rivet rear-end floor (1) with flow-form rivet structure 4 mm to 5.15 mm clamping range (S3) (area T1).
- Rivet rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.4x12 rivet (areas T2 ).
- Rivet rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.5x12.5 rivet (areas T3 ).
- Rivet rear-end floor (1) with Ø 6.5x14.5 rivet (area T4).
- Rear-end floor (1)

- Rear-end floor (1)
(area U2 ).
