Location
The ambient lighting control unit is located in the front passenger footwell.
Task
The ambient lighting control unit has the following tasks:
- Reading in of signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components
Reading in of signals
The signals are read in by the ambient lighting control unit over the interior CAN (CAN B).
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.
Actuation of components
The components are actuated via the following lines:
- Left front door ambient lighting LIN (LIN B30)
- Right front door ambient lighting LIN (LIN B31)
- Left rear door ambient lighting LIN (LIN B32)
- Right rear door ambient lighting LIN (LIN B33)
- Cockpit ambient lighting LIN (LIN B34)
- Vehicle interior ambient lighting LIN (LIN B35)
- Roof ambient lighting LIN (LIN B36) (with code 811 (Advanced sound system))
