REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery.   AR54.10-P-0003MFA 
2 Remove bolts (1).    
3 Unclip cable of engine hood catch from cover (2).    
4 Unclip cover (2) at catch hooks and remove.    
5 Remove nut (3) and position electric line outside working area. TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 118, 177, 247

6 Remove nut (4). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 118, 177, 247

7 Remove retaining clamp (5) with electric line (6). NOTES
Do not kink or stretch the electric lines.
Otherwise damage will occur.
 
8 Remove screws (11).    
9 Remove screw (7) from engine compartment fuse and relay module (F152/3).    
10 Pull engine compartment pre-fuse box (F150/3) out of guides, then lift and swivel far enough until nuts (8) are accessible. NOTES
Do not kink or stretch the electric lines.
Otherwise damage will occur.
 
11 Disconnect cable tie from electric line (12). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Replace cable tie.  
12 Remove nut (13). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 118, 177, 247

Nut, positive line to engine compartment pre-fuse box
*BA54.15-P-1006-02B 
13 Remove electric line (12) from engine compartment pre-fuse box (F150/3) and position outside working area.    
14 Disconnect cable ties from electric lines (10). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Replace cable ties.  
15 Remove nuts (8). IMPORTANT The number of electric lines (10) varies depending on the vehicle equipment.

16 Remove electric lines (10) from engine compartment pre-fuse box (F150/3) and remove engine compartment pre-fuse box (F150/3). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Ensure that guides (9) are seated correctly.
The electric lines (10) are coded and they cannot be swapped.
IMPORTANT The number of electric lines (10) varies depending on the vehicle equipment.
 
17 Install in the reverse order.
