	Remove/install
1	Remove front seat.		AR91.10-P-1000MFA
2	Remove side covers.		AR91.10-P-1201MFD
3	Remove fire extinguisher bracket.	Model 118, 177, 247 with code 555 (AMG-Performance Seat) with code 682 (Fire extinguisher) except code 7U1 (Manually adjustable front seats) except code 7U2 (Luxury front seats) except code 7U4 (Seat model variant 4)
		Screw, bracket for fire extinguisher to seat	*BA91.10-P-1004-01U
4	Remove electrical wiring harness (1) from seat.
5	Remove retaining clips (2) from thigh rest (3).	Dismantling tool	Fig 1
6	Extend thigh rest (3) completely.
7	Release cover (4) from thigh rest (3).
8	Unscrew screws (5) and remove thigh rest (3).
9	Unhook cover (6) from terminal strip (7).
10	Release and disconnect electrical connector (8).	: Secure electrical wiring harness onto seat adjustment unit so that it is possible to adjust the front seat without any restrictions. Otherwise damage will occur. The number of electrical connectors (8) varies depending on the vehicle equipment.
11	Unhook cover (6) from below all-around on seat cushion frame.	: Unhook outer cover (6) starting at front corners.

12	Remove seat padding (9) with outer cover (6).	Observe routing of electrical wiring harnesses.
13	Remove outer cover (6) from seat padding (9).	If seat padding (9) is replaced.

14	Remove seat ventilation motors from seat padding (9). 15	Glue on new heat mat of seat padding (9). 16	Install in the reverse order.
