Overview 

This document contains information on:

General 

The lower control panel is used to operate driving functions and comfort heaters and to display control and status feedback.

Function 

The lower control panel is connected to the user interface gateway via LIN, which forms the interface to the network architecture of the vehicle.

The lower control panel sends user entries to the user interface gateway; the gateway then forwards these entries to the corresponding systems.

The user interface gateway sends the status information from the corresponding systems for actuating the respective LEDs to the lower control panel.
