Irregular Wear Defined: Notes

Irregular wear is defined as undesirable wear of individual tread elements or elements around the tire. Some examples induce heel/toe wear, diagonal wear, and spot wear. Early identification of a tire with wear concerns may be noted visually by the service technician or reviewing driver write-ups.
