Notes on damage avoidance 

The air intake pipe (1) must be installed correctly in order to ensure that the sealing ring (2) is not crushed.

Parts of a crushed sealing ring (2) may otherwise be sucked in and cause severe damage to the compressor wheel of the exhaust gas turbocharger or lead to engine damage.

Installation notes 

The sealing ring (2) must be inserted into the air intake pipe (1) before the air intake pipe (1) is installed, and only afterwards is the air intake pipe (1) with inserted sealing ring (2) fastened to the exhaust gas turbocharger.

The tightening torque of the clamp (3) must be observed.
