Remove/Install Refrigerant Line Between Condenser And Front Connecting Point To Longitudinal Member - Ar83.30-D-0008TSR

Model 907 with engine 274, 642, 651

  Risk of fire  due to ignition of R1234yf refrigerant on hot components. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by contact with escaped R1234yf refrigerant and when working on pressurized parts. Risk of explosion  due to formation of ignitable refrigerant/air mixtures Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated rooms. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been evacuated.   Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
WARNING Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors from an air conditioning system containing R134a. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid R134a refrigerant and when working on pressurized parts Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove refrigerant line between condenser and refrigerant compressor from condenser.   AR83.30-D-7830TSR 
2 Unscrew nut (2), remove refrigerant line (1) from condenser and seal exposed connections with suitable stop plugs.    
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Compressor oils (specification 362.1)   BB00.40-P-0362-01A
    NOTES
Seal refrigerant line (1) and condenser immediately with suitable stop plugs. Otherwise the air conditioning system can be damaged.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Replace sealing rings and moisten with compressor oil.
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut, refrigerant condenser to refrigerant line

3 Raise vehicle.   AR00.60-D-1000-04TS
Special instructions for lifting and supporting vehicle   AH00.60-N-0100-01TS
4 Remove lower engine compartment paneling. If installed. AR61.20-D-1105TS
5 Remove underfloor paneling at left. If installed. AR61.30-D-1001-02TS
6 Unscrew nut (3), remove refrigerant line (1) from connecting point (4) and seal exposed connections with suitable stop plugs.    
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Compressor oils (specification 362.1) NOTES
Immediately seal refrigerant line (1) and connecting point (4) using suitable stop plugs. Otherwise the air conditioning system can be damaged.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Replace sealing rings and moisten with compressor oil.

    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut, refrigerant line to refrigerant line *BA83.30-N-1009-01TS 
    SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Fig 1
7 Remove refrigerant line (1) from longitudinal member (5) and remove downwards.    
8 Install in the reverse order.    
INSPECT Check     
WARNING Risk of burn injuries  , suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the hazard area. AS49.00-Z-0001-01A
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
9 Perform engine test run, check air conditioning system for leak tightness while doing so.
