Remove/Install Charge Air Temperature Sensor Upstream Of Throttle Valve - Ar09.41-D-0006TSR

Engine 651 in model 907

  Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Raise vehicle.   AR00.60-D-1000-04TS
Special instructions for lifting and supporting vehicle   AH00.60-N-0100-01TS
2 Remove lower engine compartment paneling. Model 907 with code XM1 (Noise abatement measures)
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Only install engine compartment paneling below after leak test.

3 Disconnect electrical connection (2). IMPORTANT The electrical connector (2) simultaneous!; secures the snap-in brackets of the charge air temperature sensor (1).  
4 Remove charge air temperature sensor (1). NOTES
Do not disengage or engage the charge air temperature sensor (1) with the electrical connector (2) connected.
The snap-in bracket may be overstretched otherwise.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Check sealing ring for damage.
Depending on the findings,

Replace damaged sealing ring.
If the snap-in brackets of the charge air temperature sensor (1) are damaged:

Install new charge air temperature sensor (1).
 
5 Install in the reverse order.    
INSPECT Check     
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
6 Check for leaktightness when engine is running. IMPORTANT Visual inspection only.
