Interior illumination
All Sprinters are fitted as standard with a front overhead control panel via which the interior lighting can be operated. In the bus, the lighting in the passenger compartment can be operated separately.
Conventional bulbs are used as the light sources. The same also applies for standard lights installed in the load compartment or passenger compartment.
Only lights with LED technology (including standard lights) are installed in combination with the following optional equipment:
- With code L65 (Additional dome lamps with load/passenger compartment door contact)
- With code LC4 (Comfort overhead control panel)
Cab lighting
In contrast to the standard interior lamps, the overhead control panel with code LD0 (Overhead control panel with two reading spots) offers two additional reading lamps that can be activated independently of one another. The switches are located at the outside left and right of the overhead control panel. In addition to the on/off switch for the two reading lamps, the overhead control panel also includes a button for the driver and front passenger for deactivating the "door contact function," an indicator switch for the front interior lighting, and a button for switching the interior lighting in the passenger/load compartment on and off separately.
In the comfort overhead control panel (with code LC4 (Comfort overhead control panel)), the standard light is replaced with an LED strip. The driver or front passenger can control all settings for the interior lighting in the passenger compartment via the overhead control panel and switch it on or off as required. The overhead control panel includes switches for the reading lamps for the driver and front passenger, a switch for deactivating the "door contact function," the indicator switch for the front interior lighting, a button for switching the interior lighting in the passenger compartment on and off separately, and a glasses compartment.
Passenger compartment illumination in buses
Buses with code LF1 (Bus passenger compartment illumination) have additional LED lamps in the center of the passenger compartment. Depending on the wheelbase, the passenger compartment is equipped with up to 6 additional interior lights.
