Seam Sealing Following Repair, Side Damage - Ar97.10-D-4000-03TS

Model 907 

1. Seal body flanges of repaired area with sealant and spot welds and rivets of repaired area with seam sealant material.

   Seal repaired body flanges and reset spot welds and rivets.

   Leaks and corrosion can otherwise occur.

   Use appropriate processing variant for seam seals.

   Insert plastic plugs and rubber grommets with sealant.

   Observe standard sealing. Seal only primed body parts.

   Keep sealant out of threads on weld nuts and threaded pins by masking off or covering with cardboard sleeves. Also keep drain openings and contact surfaces of affected axle attachments, detachable parts and glass panes free from sealant.

   Seal accessible spot weld flanges on both sides. Where only accessible from one side, only seal accessible area.
