- Mark separating point on the front vehicle floor (1) as shown (area A).
- Cut separating point at the front vehicle floor (1) (area A).
Commercially available devices/tools Body power jigsaw
- Expose spot welds on the front vehicle floor (1) (areas B, C, D, E, and F).
Commercially available devices/tools Rotary wire brush
- Cut off spot welds on the front vehicle floor (1) (areas B, C, D, E, and F).
Commercially available devices/tools Spot weld milling machine
- Expose spot welds on the front vehicle floor (1) (areas G, G1
, H, I, J, K, and L1
).
Commercially available devices/tools Rotary wire brush
- Cut out spot welds on the front vehicle floor (1) (areas G, G1
, H, I, J, K, and L1
).
Cut out spot welds through 2 panel thicknesses (areas G1 and L1 ).

Spot weld milling machine
- Heat up front vehicle floor (1) in the cross-hatched area.
- Remove damaged front vehicle floor (1).
- Grind down mating surfaces to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.
Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

Rotary wire brush
- Remove shavings and milling chips.
Commercially available devices/tools
Wet and dry vacuum cleaner
- Zinc dust paint to insides of spot weld flanges.
