- Scribe separation lines on A-pillar outer paneling (1) (areas A and B).
Take over dimensions (a, b) for separation lines of vehicle.
- Cut A-pillar outer paneling (1) (areas A and B).
- Dispose of the leftover piece that has been separated off.
- Drill holes in A-pillar outer paneling (1) with 0 8 mm (areas C, D, E and E,).
- Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas and around holes (areas C, D, E and E1
).
Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.
- Drill hole in A-pillar outer paneling (1) with 0 8 mm (area F).
- Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas and around hole (area F).
Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.
- Remove shavings and drill chips.
- Zinc dust paint to insides of spot weld flanges.
- Grind mating surfaces on A-pillar reinforcement (3) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.
Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.
- Remove shavings.
- Zinc dust paint to insides of spot weld flanges.
